For optimal performance on your device,

• Use clean tap water or distilled water
  
  Note: the use of tap water may increase the buildup of minerals and staining on your wick, depending on the source and quality of your tap water.
• Do not use hot water
• Never add essential oils directly to the water tank
• Clean the wick and tank regularly to avoid mineral buildup.
  
  To clean, remove the wick filter from the filter cage and rinse under running water. For a deeper clean, soak with mild or citric acid cleanser, 20g citric acid for every 1L of water for 1 hour, then rinse well under running tap water according to the instructions in the user manual.
