Blueair classic always great quality
We have several air purifiers to help with allergy season in the spring/fall and flu season in the winter. I purchased this one for my daughter to take to her dorm. I debated between the 205 and 480i. I wanted the simplicity of the 205 as she couldn't hook it up to wifi at school, but the CADR of the 400 series so she could keep it on low. Ideally, I would have purchased the 405 but it seems to have been discontinued in the United States. I didn't want to pay extra for the i series when the added features would never be used.
I ended up choosing the 205 for simplicity, size, and price. It is definitely a 5 star air purifier (as are all the Blueair purifiers we have owned are). However, it is louder than the 480i and 605 we own when on speed 2. All three are very quiet on speed 1, and very loud on speed 3. However, the 480i and 605 are also pretty quiet on speed 2 while the 205 is quite noticeable on speed 2. Great for her room at home as speed 1 keeps the pollen out. However, at the dorm I would be more comfortable if she use it at a higher speed as I worry about close living quarters and flu season.
The 205 would be a perfect fit for a kids room, but I will go with the 400 series or HealthProtect 7410 when the next child moves to the dorm. Would love to have the classic 405 as an option... all the power and protection of a classic with less bells and whistles.

The Quality I was looking for.
Reasons I bought this:
- Not made in China
- Metal construction (Not cheap plastic)
- Quality materials, motor, and a filter that actually works!
- Whisper Quiet (I can't hear it on low)
- Elegant/Simple Design (Its pretty)
- I can turn the Wi-Fi Off (We're paranoid about RF radiation)
- A Warranty to back up product claims
- A reasonable price!
Keep doing what you're doing and never change Blue Air!
