When it's time to replace your filter (about every six months), start by unplugging your air purifier. Turn the top portion of the air purifier counterclockwise to remove. Take out the old filter and vacuum away any dust on the inside. Insert the replacement filter, replace the top/cap and plug back in. Easy.

No, Blueair filters are less dense than traditional HEPA filters, allowing our air purifiers to be quieter and more energy-efficient. Often, the weight of carbon in a filter is considered when evaluating an air purifier’s ability to remove smoke-related pollutants from the air. While the presence of activated carbon is important to neutralizing odor, the efficiency and airflow of the air purifier should also be considered. This is because smoke from tobacco, wildfires and other sources contains fine particles, harmful chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOC), as well as annoying odors.
