The filter indicator light on your air purifier display will turn red when it is time to change the filter. If the air purifier is connected to the Blueair app, you can also see in the app the exact status of the filter lifetime and get push notification when it is time to change it. You should expect a filter lifetime of six to nine months.
Note that you can reset the filter light indicator even when the red light indicator is not on yet if you would like to change the filter more often than recommended.
How is the filter lifetime calculated by the air purifier?
The Blue Pure Max "i" models uses our proprietary RealTrack algorithm to calculate the filter lifetime as accurately as possible.
The Fan speed, usage time and pollution levels are used to calculate exactly how dirty the filter is, based on actual usage and tells you exactly when to replace it. You should expect a filter lifetime of six to nine months.
The 411a Max's filter lifetime is calculated on the usage time of the air purifier. The filter indicator light turns red after six months of operation. If you use your unit in a highly polluted environment, you may need to change the filter more often. If you replace your filter before the red filter replacement indicator turns on, note that you can still reset the filter light indicator.
Note: The filter timer runs while the purifier is powered on and running. If the motor is not running, then the filter timer is not running either.
Use only original genuine Blueair filters to maintain optimal performance over time.
