What are the Sensors on my Classic Pro measuring?

The sensors on your Classic Pro air purifier measure the following:

Laser Particle Sensor:

Measures fine particles such as PM 1, PM 2.5, and PM 10 levels in the air.

tVOC Sensor (Model CP9i only):

Measures Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) levels in the air.

The LED indicator on the CP7i model air purifier displays air quality status based on the most significant measurement among PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 by the sensor, while the CP9i model additionally considers tVOC levels. If PM10 levels are elevated, it could trigger the indicator despite other readings being lower. For specific details about each reading, you can view the detailed readings within the Blueair App or by toggling through the readings on the the unit.

The air quality indicator is represented through 5 colors indicating varying levels of air quality.:

  • Blue: Excellent air quality.
  • Green: Good air quality.
  • Yellow: Fair air quality.
  • Orange: Poor air quality.
  • Red: Very polluted air quality.
