What does it take to become a certified B-corp?

To become a certified B Corporation, Blueair underwent a rigorous assessment process that evaluated the company's practices and outputs across five categories: governance, workers, community, the environment, and customers. This recognition highlights the company's commitment to superior product innovation and driving the brand purpose: emphasising that access to clean air is as important as access to clean water. From products to people, Blueair is leading the way in the air purifier industry for a more sustainable future for all.

"As a B Corp, Blueair is held to the high standards of social and environmental performance, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the community," said Nille Skalts, Founder and Executive Director of the Nordic B Corp Movement. "Blueair's dedication to continuously striving to create responsible business practices is a model for companies everywhere."

What is B Corp?

The B Corp certification is a mark of trust and assurance that the company you are supporting is working to make a positive impact on society and the environment.

B Corp certification is a third-party certification, verified by B Lab, and given to companies that meet certain environmental, social, and governance standards. B Corp stands for Benefit Corporation, and companies that achieve this certification have been evaluated and found to meet strict standards. By achieving B Corp certification, a company has demonstrated its commitment to creating a better world, and it is held accountable to these values.

Blueair Blueair air purifiers

Five reasons why a Blueair air purifier is a planet-friendly choice

Cleaner indoor air

Indoor air can be up to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Blueair air purifiers, thanks to the unique HEPASilent™ technology, improve air quality in your home by effectively removing up to 99.97% of unwanted pollutants such as bacteria and viruses, allergens, pollen, mould and pet dander as small as 0.1 microns from the air. This means that you and your family can breathe clean air and avoid the negative effects of poor air quality, such as allergy symptoms, respiratory problems, and other health issues.

Energy efficiency

Using no more power than a single light bulb, choosing a Blueair air purifier means you can enjoy clean and fresh air without anxiety about energy usage and carbon emissions. The power consumption ranges from 5 to 20 watts on low and 10 to 120 watts on high, depending on the model you choose.

Low noise

Thanks to their quiet operation, you can enjoy clean air without any distracting noise. Many of Blueair’s air purifiers have the Quiet Mark seal of approval. This is especially important for those who need to use the air purifier in a bedroom, home office, shared space, or other quiet areas where noise pollution is an issue.

Responsible materials

Manufactured with responsible materials, including FSC-certified packaging, Blueair offers a product that allows you to enjoy clean air with minimal environmental impact.

Giving back to the planet through activism

Each time you buy one of Blueair’s air purifiers, you are contributing to an important cause: the fight for the right to breathe clean air around the world. Blueair runs multiple global initiatives and has been donating air purifiers to support schools and organisations. Most recently, its Freedom to Breathe campaign, in partnership with NGO Global Action Plan, has resulted in the UN acknowledging a child’s right to clean air after receiving nearly 30,000 signatures from concerned children worldwide.

By choosing a Blueair air purifier, you can enjoy clean air with minimal environmental impact. With its energy efficiency, improved air quality, low noise, responsible materials, it's the obvious choice for those who care about their health and the planet.
