I have cat allergies and live with a cat. I purchased this filter to help cut down on the pet dander and dust. After a few weeks of use I have noticed an improvement in my allergies and breathing. I feel it was worth the purchase because it has helped me breath and sleep better.

We have had a Blue Pure 311i Max for a couple of years but only used it a short time when we bought it. For some reason we put it away in the winter and forgot about it. However, we have been having issues with sneezing and runny noses. We saw an article in Consumer Reports about air quality, and it suggested getting air purifiers for the house. We already had one! We took it out and plugged it in. That night I noticed that I was not having to blow my nose and was not sneezing. So, we decided to buy 2 more to put around the house. I have already recommended it to a friend that has allergies because it works so well for us.

Purchased the Blue Pure 311i+ Max unit for a space that totals 545 square feet. The unit is doing everything the manufacturer says it will do. I keep it on auto and the machine adjusts itself when it detects pollution. I used hairspray near the unit once and it increased the fan speed to clean the air. It returned to auto when the space was clean. I run the fan on 2 for about an hour if I find allergies are bad. We have had two different name brand air purifiers in 6 years, this one is superior.
