Compact yet powerful. One button operation. Advanced, ultra-quiet filtration. Just plug this powerful performer in, and let the good air flow.
Filters the air in a 620 ft² space in about 12.5 min¹ (4.8x an hour, based on AHAM recommended removal rate) or up to 2,976 ft² in one hour on high speed to effectively lower particle levels and maintain a comfortable environment in large open spaces like studios, basements and open-concept floorplans.
An outer fabric washable pre-filter starts the process by removing larger particles. This also extends the life of the main filter.
The main particle filter removes everything from pollen, dust and pet dander to viruses and bacteria.
Then a layer of activated carbon goes to work, ridding households of light odors from pets, cooking and smoking.
Only Blueair air purifiers use HEPASilent™ technology
which provides maximum filtration with minimum noise.
This dual filtration technology pioneered by Blueair
combines electrostatic charging of particles and
mechanical filtration using a unique filter design.
Blueair air purifiers, therefore, produce more² clean air
faster, cleaning your air quicker and much more
quietly³ than traditional HEPA air purifiers.
With just one button to press and keep an eye on for filter status, you'll never be fussing with settings or left wondering about air quality.
Easily customize your air purifier to blend in or stand out with up to five washable pre-filter fabric colors. Dark Shadow and Diva Blue are included.
A 360-degree air intake means you can place the 121 almost anywhere without compromising performance. Combine this with its compact and lightweight design, and you have an air purifier that is easy to move and place wherever suits you.
Get clean air while you work or sleep without disruption. Operates at noise-levels that are a whisper quiet 31 dB on its lowest speed, and no louder than a 56 dB rainfall on its highest speed.
ENERGY STAR rated for best-in-class efficiency. This certified air purifier is 40% more energy-efficient than standard models, and uses less energy than the average LED lightbulb3 (about 10W). Confidently run it for quality air 24/7.
While the colorful fabric of the washable pre-filter looks great, it also extends the life of its main filter by catching large particles. Its fabric can be vacuumed or put in a washing machine for easy cleaning.
Never worry about guessing when to replace your filter. A built-in LED filter lifetime indicator glows red when you are due for a replacement. Subscribe to our filter club for auto-replenishment every 6 months for optimal performance.

Vacuum the exterior of the fabric pre-filter to remove dust as often as you'd like. When the pre-filter requires a deeper clean, it can be washed on a gentle, low-temperature cycle in the washing machine. Hang to dry.
The LED indicator will turn yellow after 5 months of operation to warn that it's almost time to change the filter. When the indicator light turns red (one month later), it’s time to change the main filter.

¹Based on third-party testing of removal rate of fine particles according to GB/T18801-2015 standard and pollen removal rate according to AHAM AC/1-2019 standard. According to AHAM, air changes per hour (ACH) is the measure of the outside air volume added to a space divided by the volume of that space over a set amount of time.
²Based on testing of particle CADR (GB/T18801-2015, particle size >0.3µm) in a HEPASilentTM /HEPASilent UltraTM unit at the same fan speed, compared to using H13 true HEPA filtration in the same unit.
³Based on testing of noise levels (dB, according to ISO 3743) in a HEPASilentTM /HEPASilent UltraTM unit with the same particle CADR.
