Do I need both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection to use the Blueair app?

You only need the WiFi or mobile data when using the Blueair app. Some models of Blueair air purifiers require Bluetooth and WiFi during the pairing of to the app for the very first time. It ensures a quick and easy onboarding. After that, the air purifier only needs to be connected to the local WiFi network provided by the local router.

Your smartphone does not need to be connected to the same internet connection as the air purifier (except during the onboarding, for certain models).
