In addition to filtering out large particles like pollen and dust, the Blue Pure Fan and Pure Fan Auto deliver a gentle stream of cooling air with patented fan technology.
Vacuum the exterior of the fabric pre-filter to remove dust as often as you'd like. When the pre-filter requires a deeper clean, it can be washed on a gentle, low temperature cycle in the washing machine.
The LED indicator will turn yellow after 5 months of operation to warn that it's almost time to change the filter. When the indicator light turns red (one month later), it’s time to change the main filter.
The Blue Pure Fan and Pure Fan Auto are intended for indoor use. The purifying fans can provide cooling airflow to a nursery, bedroom, office, or study area.
Pure Fan efficiently removes large particles from the air approximately twice an hour in a 200sqft room.
Both Blue Pure Fan and Pure Fan Auto are based on the same technology to cool you with purified air.
The Pure Fan Auto is the newest addition to the Blueair Fan family and offers enhanced performance for particle removal, a new style of colored filters and has an air quality sensor.
The Pure Fan Auto also gives access to additional fan speed modes and air quality indications:
- An Auto Mode to adjust to the indoor air quality.
- A Night Mode to remain quiet and discreet when you need it.
- A LED air quality indicator to easily identify the air quality in your room as good, moderate, or polluted, thanks to the built-in sensor.
The Blue Pure Fan and the Pure Fan Auto each offer a choice of one Particle filter and 5 colors of fabric pre-filters specific to their model.
The Pure Fan Auto filter and pre-filter are specifically designed for that model and cannot be used with the Blue Pure Fan (and vice-versa).

The Blue Pure Fan and Pure Fan Auto are not connected units and they cannot be paired with the Blueair app. However, you can download the Blueair app and use it to:
- See the outdoor air quality levels.
- Access product instructions and FAQs.
- Purchase replacement filters (only in markets with e-commerce available on www.blueair.com).
Only the Pure Fan Auto has a built-in particle sensor and a LED air quality indicator to easily display the air quality in your room as good, moderate, or polluted.
Blueair has conducted ongoing tests to ensure our air purifiers do not release harmful levels of ozone. All Blueair air purifiers are tested in accordance to UL Standard 867 and meet the California Air Resource Board (CARB) ozone emissions limit of less than 50ppb.
Blueair HEPASilent technology uses electrostatic and mechanical filtration to capture and remove particles from the indoor air. The electrostatic technology in the Blueair products are only intended to charge the particles entering the air purifier allowing particles to better cling to the filter media in the unit. Blueair products should not be associated with electronic air cleaners, ozone generators or bipolar ionization devices.
