How do I change my 400 series filter?
To change the filter in your 400 series unit, open up the front door of the unit with the Blueair logo on it. You will find the filter placed sideways inside the unit. Slide out the old filter and replace it with the new one. The new filter should be facing you, so that you can read “This side must face front”. Make sure the door is securely closer, or else the unit will not start.
How close can I place my air purifier to the wall?
The back of the 400 series can be placed flush against the wall and a clearance of 4 inches or more in required on each of the gray sides of the unit.
Can I purchase a unit with wheels?
Yes. The 400 Series does not come with wheels, but a wheel chassis can be purchased. Please contact our customer service team at 1.888.BLUEAIR to order.
My ‘E’ series unit is constantly running on high while on auto. How can I fix this?
This is usually caused by the sensor being clogged. To fix the problem you will need to use a can of compressed air and give the sensor area a couple of 3 second blasts. On the 400 series, the sensors are in a small grate right above the large grate where the air comes out.
How do I reset the filter timer on my Electronic unit?
To reset the filter replacement indicator on an ‘E’ series unit, press and hold the “TIMER” button for 5 seconds. The filter change indicator light will turn off and the counter will begin its countdown to the next filter change(188 days).
How do I know when I need to change the filter in my electronic unit?
The filter timer built into your electronic unit will flash an LED light to indicate when it needs to be changed.
