Right out of the box it was ready to use. We plugged it in and turned it on and shortly after, we could tell the difference in the air in the rooms. We all seem to have some kind of sinus or allergy problems and we have started breathing better. The air coming out is so fresh-smelling. Thank you for a wonderful product!

For the red filter light, pressing and holding the fan button for about 15 seconds should reset it once the filter is properly installed.
