I have both the old and new design of this InvisibleMist™ Humidifier and I must say I really like the new one,
The top and bottom lock together and that makes it just about impossible to spill anything and the filter housing pops together with nothing to unscrew and get stuck. It may be my imagination but it seems that it humidifies the room air a lot faster as well.

The design had a lot to do with my decision to purchase this. It is clear that thought has gone into both the appearance and the features. Being able to fill it from the top is helpful. The guides for positioning the filter are as well. It took a while to get the humidity up but now it is doing a good job of humidifying a 9' by 9' area in spite of it not having walls that go to the ceiling.
Two small issues: the fill line is hard to see especially when kept on the floor and filled from the top. I put a piece of tape on to mark it; my on-off button is not so responsive, often needing to be poked twice.

i was a little worried about connecting yet another appliance to WiFi, but I do love being able to modify settings without actually being in the room. I love the precision and the 2 hour drying time, and also the ability to know (based on location data) what outside humidity and temperature are.

I use this in my bedroom. It is a very nice looking humidifier. It’s easy to set up and connect to home WiFi. The water tank on the bottom of the unit has a flip-up handle which makes it easy to move about. What I especially like is the convenience of being able to add water through the top without disassembling a thing. The unit is very quiet on the lowest setting. It is easily heard on the highest setting but it’s not, in my opinion, objectionable. I sleep with the humidifier on a night stand next to my bed with no sleep interruption. The app is easy to use and informative. One convenient feature of the app is a filter life count-down in hours. There is also a filter drying function that displays a countdown to the end of the current drying cycle. I only wish Blue Air made a unit that would handle larger rooms.
