Yes, it is safe to manually move the fan head with your hands to get it to your desired location.

Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds. The display lights will flash once  around 5 seconds, please ignore and continue to press and hold until you see all the lights flash 4 times around 15 to 20 seconds. Once successfully reset the fan will restart in its default configuration and enter Standby mode. You will need to press Power to turn it back on, and re-pair it in the app if applicable.

Press and hold the Power button on the devcie user interface for 5 seconds to activate Display Lock. The controls and screen will be locked. Unlock the same way, or through the Blueair app.

Press and hold the Timer button for 5 seconds until all the lights flash once to switch between Celcius and Fahrenheit temperature scales.

Standby means the fan is plugged in and powered but not running. It remains connected to Wi-Fi and theapp when in Standby mode, so schedules and remote commands still work.
