Aerosilent™ technology goes beyond just the motor. In addition to the brushless DC motor keeping mechanical noise low,we've worked to reduce sound from the airflow path and blade design — the parts of a fan that typically generate the mostnoise. The goal: a fan that performs well on a desk or nightstand without becoming a distraction.

Unusual noise often points to the fan blade or front grille not being fully secured — this is especially common after cleaning. Turn off and unplug the fan, remove and reinstall the front grille and blade, and ensure the blade nut is tight and the safety screw that holds the front grill in place is securely fastened with the Allen key.

Night Mode runs an 8-hour cycle designed to support your body's natural cooling process during sleep. It operates in three stages: the first hour runs at a higher speed for initial cooling, the next 3 hours gradually reduce speed as you enter deeper sleep, and the final 4 hours run at the lowest speed for gentle overnight comfort. Oscillation angles are automatically set for optimal airflow during rest. Once the 8-hour cycle has ended the fan will turn off.

Night Mode uses a preset wind-down program designed to match natural sleep stages. If you prefer more control over speed and timing, the Schedule and Auto modes are great alternatives — you can set exact speeds and runtimes tailored to your preferences. Many users create their own bedtime routine by chaining scheduled settings.

Night Mode's looping oscillation is designed to distribute airflow gently around the room rather than blow directly at you all night. If you prefer a fixed direction, try Fan mode at your preferred speed and point the fan exactly where you want it. Some users angle it slightly upward or away from their face for indirect cooling.

Auto Mode simulates a natural breeze by smoothly varying fan speed and using preset oscillation. Airflow strengthens as the fan head turns toward center and softens as it turns away.

Three preset levels are available: Low (speeds 1–2), Medium (speeds 3–4), and High (speeds 5–6). You can set the mode directly in the App or by clicking on the Auto button 1 (Low), 2 (Medium) and 3 (High). 

Loop Oscillation is a preset oscillation pattern available in the Blueair app that moves the fan head in a continuous looping motion for balanced, room-wide airflow. You can only set this mode from the Blueair App. It is not available from the base controls or remote.

In the App, open the vertical and horizontal oscillation controls screens and press the "Reset Location" button to reset the fan head position. With the oscillation off, the fan head can be manually manipulated to the desired location. 

On the device controls, press the horizontal or vertical oscillation button once to turn off the oscillation movement. Within the App, toggle the horizontal or vertical oscillation to off. The fan head will stop in the location it is currently in when the oscillation it turned off.

Yes, it is safe to manually move the fan head with your hands to get it to your desired location.

Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds. The display lights will flash once  around 5 seconds, please ignore and continue to press and hold until you see all the lights flash 4 times around 15 to 20 seconds. Once successfully reset the fan will restart in its default configuration and enter Standby mode. You will need to press Power to turn it back on, and re-pair it in the app if applicable.

Press and hold the Power button on the devcie user interface for 5 seconds to activate Display Lock. The controls and screen will be locked. Unlock the same way, or through the Blueair app.

Press and hold the Timer button for 5 seconds until all the lights flash once to switch between Celcius and Fahrenheit temperature scales.

Standby means the fan is plugged in and powered but not running. It remains connected to Wi-Fi and theapp when in Standby mode, so schedules and remote commands still work.

• Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use the Allen key to loosen the safety screw on the front grille, rotate the grille to unlock it, and lift it off. Loosen the blade nut, lift the blade off the motor shaft, and rinse the blade, blade nut, and front grille by hand with mild detergent. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling. Wipe the exterior and rear grille with a soft, slightly damp cloth — do not immerse any other parts in water.

• Slide the blade back onto the motor shaft and tighten the blade nut. Align the front grille and rotate it until it locks, then tighten the safety screw with the Allen key. If the fan vibrates after reassembly, the blade nut maybe loose — tighten it and retest

The Allen key is also used to open the remote battery compartment, so keeping both together is a good idea. We recommend storing it in a consistent spot near the fan — a small drawer or in the remote box packaging. There is no built-in storage location for the Allen key on the device.

Check that you don't have an active schedule or timer set in the app — these can trigger the fan unexpectedly.

Firmware updates install automatically in the background when the fan is connected to Wi-Fi. You don't need to take any action — leave the fan powered on and connected to Wifi and it will update on its own. You can check the current firmware version in the app under device settings.

Try restarting your router and moving the fan closer to it temporarily. If it still won't connect, remove the fan from the app and re-add it. Make sure you're connecting to a 2.4 GHz network.

First check that there are no objects obstructing the fan's movement. Turn the fan off for 5 seconds and restart oscillation. If the control panel is unresponsive, the Display Lock may be active. If you see the lock icon on the display— press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to unlock it.

Most sleepers find a nightstand or side table at 2–4 ft from the bed works best. Elevating the fan (rather thanplacing it on the floor) tends to produce more comfortable airflow and prevents it from blowing directly at yourface. If you're sensitive to direct airflow, pointing it slightly away or using the oscillation feature for indirectcoverage works well.

Try moving the fan slightly farther away or enabling the oscillation feature so airflow isn't continuously aimed at your face. Pointing it at a wall and letting the indirect breeze circulate is a popular alternative. A nearby humidifier can also help offset dryness.

Night Mode is tuned to be gentle and quiet during deep sleep. If you run warm, try placing the fan closer to your bed and pointing it toward you. Alternatively, many hot sleepers prefer Auto mode at a higher speed setting — it runs continuously at your chosen level and offers stronger airflow at the medium and high settings throughout the night.

Not on its own — which is why we went further. A brushless DC motor produces less mechanical noise than a conventional motor, but most of the sound you hear from any fan actually comes from airflow and blade movement, not the motor itself. Aerosilent™ technology addresses all of it: the BLDC motor handles mechanical noise, and the overall design has been engineered to minimize aerodynamic noise too.

Press and hold the power button on the Halo ring for 15 seconds. The fan will restart in its default configurationand enter Standby mode. All custom settings, schedules, and Wi-Fi credentials will be cleared. You will need tore-add the fan to the app after a factory reset.

The Auto button is on the Halo ring at the top of the fan — it's the icon that looks like a circular 'A'. If the Halo is dimmed, tap anywhere on it once to wake it up (the display dims automatically after 15 seconds of inactivity), then press and hold the Auto icon for 5 seconds to enter Wi-Fi pairing mode.

• Horizontal — sweeps left and right. Cycles through preset angles: 150°, 120°, 90°, 60°, 30°, then 0° (off). Eachpress of the button steps to the next angle.

• Vertical — tilts up and down. Cycles through: 120°, 90°, 60°, 30°, 0° (off).

• Loop — available in the app only. A preset pattern combining horizontal and vertical movement for the mostbalanced room coverage.

The remote mounts to a specific magnetic point on the back of the pole. Confirm you're placing it on the correctsection — the smooth pole sections don't have a mount point. The magnet is on one side of the remote; if it slidesor falls, try flipping it 180° and reattaching.

1. Check that Display Lock is not active — when locked, the remote's LED feedback flashes red and commands are ignored. Press and hold the Halo power button for 2 seconds to unlock.

2. Check the battery. The remote uses a CR2025 coin cell (3.0V). Use the included Allen key to press into the hole on the back of the remote and pull off the cover. Insert the battery with the correct polarity (follow the markings inside), then reattach the cover securely.

3. Point the remote directly at the IR receiver window on the front of the fan pole. The IR sensor requires direct line-of-sight — aim straight at the receiver from up to about 10 feet away. Pointing from slightly off-axis reduces range significantly.

4. Move closer and try again. If the fan's LED flashes blue, the signal was received successfully.

Yes. When oscillation is first activated, the fan performs a brief calibration sweep to find its center position. This takes a few seconds and only happens at startup or after oscillation is toggled.

Open the Blueair app, select your fan, and go to the oscillation settings. Use the sliders to set your preferredhorizontal sweep boundaries and vertical tilt range. The fan will preview the range as you adjust. Custom settings aresaved automatically and resume on the next power cycle.

1. Turn off and unplug the fan prior to starting and cleaning or maintenance.

2. Loosen the safety screw on the front of the fan head using the included Allen key. Rotate the front grille counter clock wise and remove it from the fan head.

3. Hold the fan blades steady with one hand. Twist the blade cap clockwise to loosen it (the blade cap is reverse-threaded — clockwise loosens, counterclockwise tightens). Remove the blade cap and lift out the fan blades.

4. Wipe the inside of the fan head with a dry microfiber cloth. The front grille, blade cap, and fan blades can be rinsed under water or washed with mild detergent. Make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembling.

5. Slide the fan blades back onto the motor shaft. Attach the blade cap by rotating counterclockwise to tighten.

6. Align the marks on the inside of the front grille with the marks on the inside of the fan head. Rotate the grille clock wise until it locks into position. Tighten the safety screw with the Allen key.

Because at higher speeds, airflow becomes the dominant source of noise — not the motor. This is true of any fan. What Aerosilent™ technology does is minimize noise from every source we can engineer: the BLDC motor handles mechanical noise, and our aerodynamic design work targets the sound of air moving through the blades and housing. Some increase in sound at higher speeds is a physics reality, but the goal is to keep it as low as possible at every setting. 

Yes. The pedestal fan is built on Aerosilent™ technology, which means a brushless DC (BLDC) motor at its core —consistent with every Blueair fan and air purifier. BLDC motors run cooler and more efficiently than conventionalmotors, and produce lower mechanical noise at the source.

• With air conditioning: place the fan across the room from your A/C unit. It circulates cool air throughout the room, reducing hot spots and improving cooling efficiency.

• With heating: aim the fan slightly upward using vertical tilt. Warm air rises and collects near the ceiling —directing the fan upward pushes it back down and evens out room temperature.

• With Blueair air purifiers or humidifiers: place the fan in the same room as your Blueair purifier or humidifier to accelerate the circulation of clean air or moisture evenly throughout the space.

Speeds 1–6 are designed for quiet operation. Most users find speeds 4–6 give a comfortable breeze while remaining very quiet comparable to soft background white noise.

Speeds 7–8 are noticeably stronger and moderately louder. Speeds 9 and Turbo deliver maximum airflow and are the loudest settings, best for quickly cooling a room.

Open the Blueair app, select your fan, and go to Schedule. Create a new schedule by setting a start time, an endtime, and the days of the week. You can also configure the fan speed and oscillation settings that should applywhen the schedule activates. The fan must be connected to Wi-Fi for schedules to run.

Press the Timer button on the Halo to cycle through the preset options: 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12 hours. The fan will run forthe selected duration and then turn off. Alternatively, in the Blueair app you can set more flexible timer durations.Timers are one-time — they don't repeat. For recurring on/off times, use the Schedule feature in the app.

• It dims the Halo display to its lowest brightness so it doesn't light up a dark room.

• It slows down the oscillation speed.

• It automatically sets oscillation to Loop pattern.

• You can still adjust oscillation manually while in Night Mode.

• Fan speed can be adjusted in the app while Night Mode is active.

The room temperature reached or exceeded your configured maximum threshold, so Auto Mode responded by running at full speed. In the app, review your Auto Mode temperature range raising the maximum threshold means the fan reaches its highest speed less aggressively. You can also use Standard Mode (manual speed) to set a speed cap if Auto Mode is too reactive for your space.

After changing the range, the fan runs a calibration sweep before settling. If the range still looks wrong after the sweep, toggle oscillation off, wait a moment, then turn it back on. If it continues to drift, turn the fan off for 5 seconds and restart oscillation. Ensure nothing is blocking the fan's range of motion.

Make sure the fan is on a flat, stable surface and that nothing is obstructing the oscillation path. Even a partially blocked swing can cause the mechanism to catch. 

Another common cause is a loose pole connection. Unplug the fan, hand-tighten all pole joints (clockwise), and restart.

Note: If you removed the front grille for cleaning and then reassembled it, make sure the alignment marks on the grille and fan head are matched before tightening the Allen key screw. A misaligned grille causes vibration.

The Allen key has a dedicated storage slot on the underside of the base plate. Slide it in until you feel it click into position. You'll need the Allen key to clean the fan (front grille screw) and to replace the remote battery. 

This can be caused if the fan blade has not been fully seated on the motor shaft, or the blade cap not being tight enough after reassembly. Unplug the fan, remove the front grille and blade cap, re-seat the blade fully on the shaft, and tighten the blade cap counterclockwise until secure. Reinstall the grille with the alignment marks matched. 

The grille must be aligned before it can be rotated into place. Look for the alignment marks on the inside rim of the grille and on the inside of the fan head — line those up, then rotate the grille clockwise until you feel it lock. Once locked, tighten the safety screw with the Allen key. If the grille still won't lock, it may be slightly misaligned —remove it, re-check alignment, and try again. 

A brief reset (flashing Halo display, fan restarts) most commonly happens when a pole segment connection is slightly loose. Unplug the fan, hand-tighten all pole connections clockwise, and restart. 

1. Make sure the power adapter is firmly plugged into both the wall outlet and the port on the underside of the baseplate.
2. Press the power button on the Halo to turn it on.
3. If still no response: press and hold the power button for 2 seconds — Display Lock may be active, which disablesthe Halo controls.
4. Check that all pole connections are hand-tight. A loose connection near the base can interrupt power.
