• Turns on normally
• Uses water
• Produces airflow

Then it is likely functioning as designed and being limited by environmental conditions rather than a mechanical issue.

For best results:

• Close doors and windows
• Reduce drafts where possible
• Place the humidifier centrally in the room
• Avoid placing it near vents or heaters
• Use the highest setting during very dry periods
• Allow several hours (or overnight) for humidity to stabilize

In extremely dry homes, using multiple humidifiers may be necessary.

• 40–50% in milder seasons

Trying to maintain 50%+ in winter may not be achievable—or recommended—due to condensation risks on windows and walls.
